Meet your guide at the wreck beach in Pomonte. The guide will distribute the snorkelling equipment and give an initial briefing on how the excursion will proceed. An introduction to the marine environment is given with educational cards, and the history of the merchant shipwreck is told. Brief instructions are given on the use of the mask and fins, as well as safety guidelines to follow in the water during the activity. You start by swimming from the shore and then swim and explore the seabed for about 150 metres until you reach the Ogliera rock. Once you pass it, you arrive at the area where the merchant ship lies. The wreck lies on the seabed at a depth of 12 metres and extends up to 2 metres below the surface of the sea. The particularly clear waters make it easy to see the wreck in its entirety, surrounded by hundreds of fish. The experience is magnificent and exciting. You continue to observe the marine environment near the wreck and near the small and large rocks surrounding the site, until you return to the starting point.
