What you can expect

  • Sanbangsan Carbonated Hot Spring, located in Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, is known as Jeju’s first public hot spring and one of Korea’s few naturally carbonated hot springs. Its mineral-rich water contains free carbonic acid, bicarbonate ions, and sodium. Locally known as “Gumyeongsu,” meaning “life-saving water,” the spring is associated with local folklore about its benefits for wellness. The operator and Korea Tourism Organisation also describe carbonated hot spring swimming as beneficial for skin care and fatigue recovery. The facility features a glass-enclosed indoor hot spring and an open-air outdoor bath, both offering scenic views of Sanbangsan and Jeju’s coastline.
