Day 1: Arrival and Afternoon Game Drive

Upon arrival at Mfuwe Airport, be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide and transferred to your comfortable lodge or camp located within South Luangwa National Park. The scenic transfer allows you to soak in the beauty of the Luangwa Valley as you journey into the park.

After check-in, enjoy some time to refresh and relax before preparing for your first safari experience. In the afternoon, embark on an exciting game drive lasting approximately 2–3 hours, offering your first opportunity to spot iconic wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and possibly predators like lions and leopards as they become active during the cooler hours of the day.

Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive

After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in South Luangwa National Park. With vast floodplains, riverine forests, and open savannahs, the park offers exceptional wildlife sightings throughout the day.

Enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing with breaks for refreshments and lunch (picnic or lodge-based, depending on arrangements). This full-day safari allows ample time to explore deeper sections of the park and increases your chances of encountering large herds of elephants and buffalo, hippos along the Luangwa River, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species.

As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay, reflecting on the day’s incredible wildlife encounters.

Day 3: Departure

After breakfast, check out from your accommodation and transfer back to Mfuwe Airport, marking the end of your memorable South Luangwa National Park safari.
