Itinerary
After picking you up at the Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel, we'll head west to Zhujiajiao, a historic gem located 50 kilometres from Shanghai. Did you know that this is the best-preserved water village in the Shanghai area? You'll soon see why it's known as the Venice of Shanghai!
Once in Zhujiajiao, we'll stroll through its traditional streets and admire the centuries-old houses that line the canals. We'll stroll across its picturesque stone bridges, some over 5,000 years old, while we reveal the city's anecdotes and legends.
Then, we'll take a 20-minute boat ride along the canals to enjoy the beauty of Zhujiajiao from the water. Then, you'll have free time to continue exploring the village at your own pace. If you like, you can visit one of its gardens on your own or get lost in its alleys full of craft shops.
At the agreed time, we'll meet again at a restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch of traditional dishes and a soft drink.
With our energy replenished, we'll head back to Shanghai and continue the tour in Tianzifang, a area with an artistic soul located in the former French concession. Its labyrinthine streets are home to art galleries, design studios, and elegant boutiques. Here you can take the opportunity to do some shopping.
At the end of the visit, you'll have the option to stay in Tianzifang or return by bus to Shanghai's copy market, where we'll wrap up the tour after a total of seven to eight hours.
