What you can expect

DAY 1
Travellers will be met at the airport or bus station and taken to the lodge.
After a short rest, you will take a one-hour introductory hike through the dense rainforest, guided by a local expert who will take you through the trails of the area.
After lunch, we will leave around 3:30 pm, take a boat to travel along the Tambopata River and enjoy the beautiful colours of the sunset. Afterwards, we will start looking for white caimans and capybaras along the banks.
With our torches, we will explore the banks in search of capybaras, white caimans and herons and finally we will have our Amazonian dinner.
DAY 2 Sandoval Lake
At 5:00 a.m., we have breakfast and get ready to visit Sandoval Lake, one of the most beautiful places in the Tambopata National Reserve, known for its biodiversity. We will take a 1 hour and 20 minute boat ride to the entrance of the lake, and then walk 3 kilometres to reach this piranha habitat. Afterwards, we will navigate the lake in a rowing boat to observe birds and monkeys, such as the Hoatzin cormorant, herons, eagles, howler and capuchin monkeys. We may even see giant otters and caimans.
We return to the lodge at 11:45 a.m. for lunch, and in the evening, we will take a night walk in the forest with torches, looking for nocturnal animals and plants. The experience includes the possibility of seeing nocturnal monkeys, frogs, tarantulas, rodents, owls and snakes.
Amazonian dinner.
DAY 3 Parrot clay lick and sunrise view
At 5:00 a.m., we will get ready to enjoy a unique show with different species of parrots that inhabit the Amazon region. We will embark and head out by land or river, travelling approximately one hour from our lodge.
Upon arrival, we will see a large number of parrots gathered, as every morning, on a clay wall, ready to feed on essential minerals for their diet and detoxification.
We will then enjoy a delicious continental breakfast, after which we will have free time until lunchtime.
After lunch, we will take a short break before heading to our 30-meter tower, where we will equip ourselves with safety equipment to begin our extreme adventure activity (zip line).
Finally we will have an Amazonian dinner.
DAY 4 Monkey House and Sloth Hunt
We will sail for 30 minutes on the Tambopata River to reach the monkey house, where we will observe different species such as the squirrel monkey, howler monkey and spider monkey, and we will be able to touch, feed and play with them. Then, in the Madre de Dios River, we will look for three-toed sloths in a forest, where we will be able to spot between 2 and 5 of them.
We will then return to enjoy a continental breakfast before packing up and saying goodbye to Peru's biodiversity. Finally, we will head to the city of Puerto Maldonado for transfer to the airport or bus station.
