What you can expect

  • Day 1: Tashkent to Aksai Valley

Depart early from Tashkent and head to Aksai Valley. Ride past the village and ascend towards Aksakata Mountain. Take a short rest and walk slowly across the valley towards Archali Pass, where you can see packs of horses, livestock, and shepherds’ summer pastures.

Reach the marble belt for lunch. After lunch, ride down to the junction of the Aksaka Ata and Nurik Ata rivers. Cross a wooden bridge and ride along a valley with unique alpine biodiversity. Set up camp near the river, make a fire, and watch the stars.

Day 2: Aksai Valley to Chet Kumbel Pass

Wake up early, cook hiking porridge and hot coffee, and set up your camping gear. Start riding, crossing rivers and climbing ascents and descents. After several hours, reach a mountain bee farmer’s shelter, where you give your horses a rest.

Ascend to Chet Kumbel Pass and reach a spring water near a 1000-year-old tree for lunch. Traverse along Kumbel Mountain, reach a ski slope, and ascend to a huge rock along the forest. After half an hour, reach a big alpine meadow where you can canter.

Descend to the marble gorge for lunch and give your horses a rest. Continue riding by ascending to Urta Kumble, followed by a quick descent to Beldersai Valley. Cross the river and reach Yakka Archa and up to Chet Kumbel, where you set up camp near the river.

Day 3: Chet Kumbel Pass to Chorvak Oromgohi

After breakfast, start riding along the meadow and descend. After an hour, reach the Beladersai river bridge and cross it. Ascend towards Uchterak village and have lunch near the village. Go through the village, meet locals, and cross the Galvaysai river.

Ascend to Akshuran Pass and reach a cantering area. In the afternoon, ride along the crest of the ridge through the undulating red cliff (Kyzyljar). After several hours, reach the peak “last” where you can see Charvak Lake.

Rest and walk down to the hotel Chorvak Oromgohi, where you meet your driver. Farewell to your horseman and his brother, and return to Tashkent.
