Your day begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel in Tashkent, where your guide will greet you and set the tone for an exciting adventure. The first stop is the Sun Solar Furnace & Heliocomplex in Parkent, a 1.5-hour scenic drive through Uzbekistan’s landscapes. This unique scientific marvel is one of only two in the world—the other being in France (built by NASA). Constructed by the Soviet Union, this massive solar furnace was a hub for groundbreaking research, where 1,500 scholars worked on cutting-edge projects.
Upon arrival, you’ll tour the facility, learning about its fascinating history and how it harnesses solar energy to reach temperatures hot enough to melt metal and wood. A highlight is watching live experiments, where sunlight is concentrated into a powerful beam capable of instantly burning objects—a mesmerising display of science in action! Don’t miss the chance to take fun photos in front of the giant circular mirrors and enjoy panoramic views from the 12th-floor observation deck, offering a stunning vista of the surrounding mountains.
Next, you’ll journey another 1.5 hours to Amirsoy Mountain Resort, where a cable car ride awaits. As you ascend, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the Chimgan Mountains, with endless opportunities for spectacular photos at the peak. The crisp mountain air and sweeping landscapes make this a perfect spot to soak in nature’s beauty.
For lunch, you’ll stop at Fayz Café, a charming restaurant offering a mix of Uzbek cuisine and vegetarian options. Savour traditional dishes like plov (pilaf), fresh salads, or hearty soups before continuing your adventure.
After refuelling, you’ll head to Chimgan’s chairlift, an exhilarating ride that makes you feel like you’re flying above the mountains. If you're feeling adventurous, you can try ziplining for a thrilling rush or opt for a horseback ride through scenic trails.
The final stop is Charvak Lake, a stunning turquoise-blue reservoir surrounded by mountains. Here, you can relax by the water, take in the serene views, or, if conditions permit, experience the thrill of paragliding over the lake—an unforgettable way to end the day!
As the sun begins to set, you’ll return to Tashkent (1.5-hour drive), filled with incredible memories of science, nature, and adventure. This full-day excursion perfectly blends education, excitement, and breathtaking scenery—a must-do for any traveller in Uzbekistan!
