We will take you to places that we have chosen for their authenticity, where five tastings of yummy Florentine delicacies are waiting for you along with two Chianti wines and, last but not least, you will avoid tourist traps!

You will try the fabulous“crostini”, a small bruschetta with special sauces; a sweet italian pastrywhich melts in your mouth; the world famous “schiacciata all’olio” filled with aromatic Tuscan cold cuts, vegetables and cheese while skipping the line at the Antico Vinaio historical store!; the “coccoli”, small starters of fried dough filled with cheese or ham and a delicious artisanal “gelato”at a historical ice-cream store! For those who wish, besides all these tastings, there is the possibility to try“trippa” or “lampredotto”, typical and tasty Florentine street food, to be paid on the spot.

During this walk you will discover small shops of fruit and vegetables, traditional bakeries and wine shops who sell glasses of wine from a typical counter directly opened on the street. The guide will then suggest you typical trattorias and historical restaurants, to enjoy a dinner with the traditional Florentine steak.

In this tour, together with the aromas and taste of our typical food, you will also discover the city centre of Florence from a different point of view:walking in the shadow of Medieval and Renaissance monuments, stepping into small hidden squares and narrow alleys, out of beaten itineraries where, still today, you can find artisans and traditional shops.

While you enjoy this journey into our traditional food, you will have the impression of going back in time listening to tales, legends and curiosities related not just to our centuries-old gourmet traditions, but also to the daily life and history of our city.
