Pickup from your hotel at 5:30 AM for an early adventure! We’ll board the 6:20 AM train to Sreemangal — the most scenic way to enter Bangladesh's tea capital. For photography lovers, Komlapur Railway Station offers a fantastic opportunity to capture the vibrant morning life on the platform, with scenes of everyday motion and colour that define Dhaka’s early hours. As the train glides through rural landscapes, paddy fields, and sleepy villages, you'll witness the countryside waking up — a perfect introduction to slow travel. Alternatively, if travelling by bus, the journey takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, depending on traffic. *If you want an upgraded Package, we’ll travel in an AC private car from Dhaka, which will stay with us throughout the 2 Days, 1 Night tour for added comfort and flexibility.

We’ll arrive in Sreemangal around 12:00 PM, where a refreshing change of pace awaits. From the station, we’ll head straight to a locally-run hotel, carefully selected for its charm, comfort, and warm hospitality. Nestled amidst greenery, this homely stay offers a true taste of the Sreemangal lifestyle. After a smooth check-in and a moment to freshen up, you’ll be treated to a traditional Bengali lunch — freshly cooked with seasonal ingredients and local spices.

As the sun begins its gentle descent, we’ll make our way to Darjeeling Tilla Viewpoint, a hidden gem perched above rolling tea gardens and distant green hills. The breeze carries the subtle scent of tea leaves as you take in sweeping panoramic views that stretch across Sreemangal’s tranquil landscape. It’s a peaceful spot for reflection, photography, and simply soaking in the beauty of Bangladesh’s tea capital from above.
Sreemangal
  • 1h
From the viewpoint, we’ll descend into the lush Tea Estates, where narrow paths wind between neatly trimmed rows of tea bushes. Here, tea pluckers—mostly local women—gracefully harvest fresh leaves, continuing a tradition that has been part of this land for generations. The quiet rhythm of their work and the serene surroundings offer an intimate glimpse into the daily life of the tea garden.
Adi Nilkantha Tea Cabin
  • 30m
As dusk sets in, we’ll visit the iconic Adi Nilkantha Tea Cabin, home of the legendary 7-layered tea. This unique drink, crafted with layers of differently flavoured teas stacked one atop the other, is a Sreemangal speciality and a delightful surprise for first-time visitors. Watching the layers settle is a wonder in itself—but the real magic begins with the first sip, where flavours unfold one by one.
Monipuri market
  • 30m
Our evening continues with a stroll through the lively Monipuri Tribal Market, a bustling space where tradition thrives. Here, you’ll meet members of the Monipuri ethnic community, browse their handwoven textiles, and witness their rich cultural heritage first-hand. It’s a great place to support local artisans, learn about tribal customs, and experience the warmth of Sreemangal’s diverse communities.
Sreemangal
  • 2h
After a fulfilling day of scenic exploration and cultural immersion, we’ll head to a famous local restaurant for dinner, where you’ll savour a traditional Shatkora meat curry—a Sylheti delicacy infused with the unique citrus aroma of wild Shatkora fruit. This flavourful dish, paired with warm rice and local sides, offers a perfect end to the day’s experiences. Following dinner, we’ll return to our boutique hotel for a relaxing night.
Day 2: Forest Trails & Tribal Tales – Culture Meets Nature

Lawachara National Park
  • 2h
  • Admission ticket included
After breakfast and check out procedure, we’ll begin the day with a guided exploration of Lawachara National Park, one of the last remaining tropical rainforests in Bangladesh. This lush sanctuary is home to an incredible diversity of flora and fauna. Depending on your comfort level, the trek can last between 30 to 60 minutes or even more than that, allowing time to spot rare wildlife such as the endangered Hoolock gibbons, rhesus macaques, and vibrant species of birds fluttering above the forest canopy. The serenity and depth of the jungle make this an unforgettable nature experience. One of the most iconic features of Lawachara is the British-era railway line that cuts through the heart of the forest. In fact, a segment of the Oscar-winning film Around the World in 80 Days was shot right here, making it a unique blend of natural wonder and cinematic history.
Khashiya Punji
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
Tucked within the forest, we’ll visit a Khashiya tribal village, known locally as a Punji. The Khashiyas are one of Bangladesh’s most culturally distinctive indigenous communities. As you enter the village, you'll see neat rows of traditional bamboo houses raised on stilts, surrounded by plantations of betel leaf, their primary livelihood. You’ll have the chance to interact with villagers, observe their daily routines, and learn about their ancestral customs, spiritual beliefs, and eco-friendly ways of living—offering a rich and respectful cultural exchange.
Nurjahan Tea Estate (M. Ahmed Group)
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
Our next stop is the Nurjahan Tea Estate, a less-traveled and serene tea garden nestled among gently rolling hills. With fewer crowds than the popular estates, it offers a more personal and peaceful experience. Walking through the vast stretches of green, you’ll see tea pluckers skilfully harvesting leaves while the sun filters softly through the trees. It’s an ideal spot for photography, relaxation, and immersing yourself in the timeless rhythm of the tea country.
Madhabpur Lake
  • 1h 30m
  • Admission ticket included
Hidden amidst the tea-covered hills lies the tranquil Madhabpur Lake. Surrounded by dense foliage and distant hills, the still waters of the lake mirror the sky above, creating a postcard-perfect landscape. A short walk along the banks reveals birds resting on branches, lotus flowers blooming quietly, and an overwhelming sense of calm. It’s the perfect place to pause, breathe, and connect with nature before wrapping up the Sreemangal adventure.
Sreemangal
  • 1h
We’ll enjoy a late lunch at a local restaurant loved by locals and travellers alike. The highlight of the meal is Shatkora beef curry, a Sylheti delicacy featuring tender meat infused with the bold, citrusy flavour of Shatkora, a wild lemon unique to the region. Served with fragrant rice and fresh seasonal sides, it’s a dish that leaves a lasting impression on your palate and celebrates the rich culinary identity of Sylhet.
Dhaka
  • 6h
As the day winds down, we’ll board an evening air-conditioned bus for the journey back to Dhaka. Sit back and relax as the scenes of rural Bangladesh fade into the night—tea gardens, village homes, and open skies giving way to city lights. You’ll arrive in Dhaka by 11:00–11:30 PM, where your guide will accompany you back to your hotel, bringing a beautiful two-day journey to a close.
