Circuit Hike through the Mystical Anaga Mountains
Duration: Approximately 3–4 hours with stops
Difficulty: Medium – the elevation gain is around +/-300 m (1,000 ft), which requires a good level of basic fitness.

Discover what makes the Anaga Mountains so unique in the world – a mountain range that is 7–9 million years old and has created stunning landforms.

Immerse yourself in the laurel forest, where moss-covered trees, ferns, and swathes of mist create an almost fairy-tale atmosphere.
Take in breathtaking views of deep valleys and steep canyons.

Along the way, you will learn a great deal about Tenerife's volcanic origins and the culture and history of its indigenous people, the Guanche.

Meeting/Departure Point:
Perfect for arrival by local bus.
We will set off from Las Mercedes, specifically from Plaza de las Mercedes, which will serve as the starting point for our circular tour through the evergreen fairytale forest.

Recommended equipment

• Hiking shoes – Ensure a secure grip on rocky, slippery trails
• At least 1L of water – For the physically demanding, mountainous section of the route
• Wind and rain protection – The mountains are often shrouded in fog or rain due to trade wind clouds
• Warm clothing – At the highest point, at around 3,280 feet (1,000 metres), it can be significantly cooler
• Hiking poles – Optional but helpful – can be rented from the guide

Please remember to bring weatherproof clothing, especially warm clothes and rain gear, as the climate in the Anaga Mountains can often be cool and humid. We also recommend bringing plenty of water to ensure you are well hydrated during the hike.

In general, the tour will take place as planned, except in cases of force majeure, official closures by the island government, or cancellation by the guide. Furthermore, the guide reserves the right to flexibly adjust the route or the itinerary of the hike based on weather conditions and the physical condition of the participants, in order to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone.

If the guide cancels the hike, the customer will receive a full refund of the price paid.
