What you can expect

The first Nougat Museum in Madrid
Welcome to the Madrid Nougat Museum! At the time you select you will be able to access this place where you will learn everything about one of the most famous sweets of Spanish Christmas. It will be a delicious sensory experience!

As soon as you enter, you can take a free tour of the different parts of the museum. Did you know that it is the first Nougat Museum in Madrid? We recommend you start with the protagonist of this delicacy, the almond. Thanks to the information panels that you will find on your tour, you will learn the secrets of the almond tree's flowering and you will see the journey that this dried fruit takes until it becomes nougat.

Afterwards, you will be able to review the history of nougat, as well as learn about the reasons for its consumption on such important dates or the unique and exclusive production under the Jijona Designation of Origin. Another of the curiosities that you will discover during the visit will be the typical clothing of the turroneros and its evolution since the 18th century.

At the end of the tour, you will be offered a tasting of the different products sold at the 1880 Turrón Museum, such as Jijona, egg yolk or chocolate nougats, along with marzipan and Polvorones. Absolutely delicious!
