The visit includes the majestic Convent of Christ, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the former headquarters of the Order in Portugal, where the secrets of the Charola, the cloisters and Templar symbology are revealed. The tour continues through the historic centre of Tomar, with its old streets, churches, and squares linked to the Templar presence and the heritage of the Order of Christ.
Check out Almourol Castle, built on a small island in the middle of the Tagus River.
Throughout the day, you'll explore the stories, myths, and traditions associated with the Templars, as well as their importance in the foundation and defence of Portuguese territory.
