1,700 m above the city!
The impressive experience at the Top of Innsbruck is within everyone's reach thanks to its direct connection to the city. It is not uncommon for guests on the Nordkette to catch a glimpse of the otherwise shy wild animals, and especially when it comes to the view, the unique panorama of the city and mountains leaves nothing to be desired.
The journey to the Top of Innsbruck begins right in the Old Town, just five minutes away from the Goldenes Dachl at the Altstadt station. From here, the modern Hungerburg funicular, with the option to get off at the Alpenzoo, takes you to the Hungerburg in just 8 minutes.
Once there, it's just a few steps to the onward journey to the Seegrube at 1,905 m, where a change to the Hafelekarbahn takes you to the Top of Innsbruck in just two and a half minutes, the highlight of the return with a view from 2,256 m.
