It is a desert landscape, a geomorphological marvel. Our ancestors called it Las Salinas, now known worldwide as Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley), a collection of landscapes of incomparable beauty that resemble a fragment of the lunar landscape, from which it gets its name. In 1982, it was declared a Nature Sanctuary and became part of the Los Flamencos National Reserve. Here you can see a fascinating geological show, especially at sunrise and sunset.

During your visit, you can see: the famous natural formation known by our ancestors as Los Tres Vigilantes (The Three Watchmen), now called Las Tres Marías (The Three Marys); Duna Mayor (The Great Dune), a majestic mass of sand; and vantage points such as Quebrada Honda, home to the famous Piedra del Coyote (Coyote Stone).
