We will begin with a pick-up from your hotel at approximately 4:00 a.m., followed by a 4-hour journey to Paracas. Upon arrival in Paracas, we will head to the El Chaco pier, where we will board modern motorboats for a wonderful tour of the Ballestas Islands, located in the Bay of Paracas.
Here, you can enjoy the beauty of nature and observe wildlife, such as sea lions, Humboldt penguins, black cormorants (guanay), flamingos, parihuanas, and various seabirds. The sea lions may even approach the boat, and many penguins can be seen swimming in the water. Thousands of seabirds fly between the islands, and you might spot their nests on the rocks.
You will also admire the Candelabra geoglyph, as the guide explains the different theories about its origin.
Next, we will head towards the city of Ica, arriving at approximately 12:30 p.m..
We will begin with a visit to the Nietto Winery, where the grape spirit famously known as Pisco is made. At the historic Fundo Tres Esquinas Winery, we will show you the entire process of how Peruvian wine and Pisco have been crafted artisanally since 1856, guided by an experienced winery worker.
Here, you will find antique items such as clay jars, copper stills, and a huarango wood press, all of which are still in use today.
NEXT, WE WILL STOP FOR LUNCH.
After lunch, we will visit the Oasis of Huacachina, located just 5 km from city centre Ica. In this beautiful lagoon, visitors can enjoy the tranquility of the area and walk around to capture some excellent photos.
We will also stop at Chocolatería Noelia, located nearby, where you can taste traditional chocotejas, alfajores, jams, artisanal cookies, filled mousse, and more.
05:00 PM: After concluding this visit, we will head to Chincha, where we will stop at the Racimo de Uvas Winery. Here, you can enjoy tastings of wines and Piscos, including the popular cachina, as well as a variety of macerated spirits and Pisco creams.
This stop will also include a folkloric dance workshop, accompanied by the rhythm of the cajón, contests among participants, and a tasting of typical local sweets.
Finally, we will return to Lima, arriving at approximately 10:00 p.m.
