Secondly, we will visit the Surquillo Market. This market has become a kind of mecca for international foodies after the praise of the famous Peruvian chef Gastón Acurio. The market is open daily and the myriad of foods and spices sold here include exotic fruits from the Amazon rainforest, potatoes and chilli peppers from the faraway mountain tops of the Andes, fresh seafood from the coast and different types of meat, including alpaca and the famous guinea pig.

Continuing our gastronomic experience, we will visit 2 of the fast food restaurants that are very popular among Limeños and foreigners due to their participation in a documentary entitled Street Food Latin America and in both Huariques we will try their different specialities. La Huerta Chinen specialises in Creole combinations, here we will try the famous Lima cause (Yellow mashed potatoes seasoned with limes, chilli peppers and stuffed with chicken). Alto K Pez speciality seafood here we will delight ourselves with the marine trio (fish ceviche + seafood rice + squid pork rinds)

After delighting our palate, we will visit the historic centre of Lima and walk through its old streets appreciating its impressive balconies, churches and colonial houses such as; the main square of Lima, the cathedral, the government palace, the convent of san francisco and its catacombs.

Later we will sweeten our palate trying the famous Spanish churros (Filled with white delicacy or pastry cream accompanied with white sugar), then we will visit a local bar, to learn the elaboration of our flagship drink of Peru "El Pisco Sour" (drink made from grape pisco, lime, syrup, egg white and Angostura bitters) At the end of our tour we will visit the Chabuca Granda mall to try the Peruvian donuts known by the locals as picarones (they are made of sweet potato dough accompanied by honey).
