Imagine a sauna filled with scents from the Finnish forest. The sauna healer stands at the threshold to welcome you into a deeply immersive experience — healing for body, mind and soul.

The sauna has always been a place of healing and ritual. Here, whisks of bundled twigs and leaves work like giant, gentle hands, offering both massage and aromatherapy.

This traditional healing ritual is renewing and deeply cleansing, helping you to let go and restore. The steam, whisks and herbs also bring deep nourishment and supports healthy circulation. Your muscles begin to release, and the autonomic nervous system can find its natural balance. Songs from Finnish ancestors carry you into a dreamlike state of deep relaxation, while the crackle of fire and the hiss of steam rising from hot stones create an atmosphere that feels both ancient and otherworldly.

This private sauna ritual includes:

• A whisking ritual with birch and other trees
• Massage with salts and locally gathered herbs
• A deeply soothing water ceremony, using waters of different temperatures to rinse and restore as you rest in the warmth of the sauna
• Ancient Finnish rune songs and spoken spells

The ritual follows a pattern rooted in old wisdom while always honouring your own wishes and comfort, including the temperature of the sauna and breaks. For one person this ritual is one hour, for groups of 2-3 persons I reserve two hours so there is no rush and we can have several unrushed breaks for dips in the sea.

This woodburning sauna is located on a private beach and it's possible to take a swim in the sea. It's a traditional sauna which means there is no shower but the water for washing up is heated in the sauna space. Outdoor toilet is available.

The sauna is located in Parainen, about 15 minutes from Saaristotie by car. Please note that you need a car to get here.
