What you can expect

Vivência Indígena is organising a guided tour of Boa Vista Village, located in Ubatuba. Access is via the BR 101 highway, km 29.5 - in the Prumirim area.

The aim is to get to know, experience and learn about the Guarani Mbya culture and tradition, in a real connection, a cultural exchange in the middle of the Atlantic Forest.

The visit includes various community-based tourism attractions, such as singing, dancing, archery, body painting (jenipapo and urucum), handicrafts and typical food.

Boa Vista Village Route:

1 - Access via a 20-minute trail.

2 - Visit to the sacred house (opyi).

3 - Painting with genipapo or urucum.

4 - Handling a bow and arrow.

5 - Finish with the Aldeia waterfall.

**It is worth remembering that some of these activities may not take place or may be changed to another, depending on availability or some event in the Village. We have no control over what happens and are not responsible. Remember that this is a traditional community with few resources.

Technical Difficulty: Easy.
Physical Intensity: Light
Total distance: 4 km
Minimum age: 8 years, minors only accompanied by a guardian.

It should be noted that tourist visits to indigenous villages are very important for them to maintain and sustain themselves. Even though they produce practically everything they eat, part of these families' income comes from tourism and the sale of their handicrafts.
