What you can expect

Day 1: DEPARTURE AT 10:00 AM
UYUNI – SALAR DE UYUNI – TAHUA
We start the day by picking you up from the meeting point at 10:00 AM. Initially, we will explore the Train Cemetery and the Colchani Village. Then, we will dive into the amazing Salar de Uyuni and arrive at the “Salt Hotel”. We will enjoy fascinating optical illusions, especially during the rainy season (between December and March), and discover the “Ojos de Agua”, small salt eruptions that will give us insights into the formation of this vast sea of salt. At noon, we arrive at Incahuasi Island, where we will admire extensive populations of cacti, marine rock fossils, local fauna and spectacular views of the salt flat from the top of the island. We continue towards the northern part of the salt flat, visiting a local museum for the observation of pre-Columbian mummies and then we arrive at the Salar viewpoint, at the foot of the Thunupa volcano. At the end of the afternoon, we arrive at Tahua to spend the first night at the Salt Hotel.

Day 2
TAHUA – SILOLI DESERT
Upon leaving the salt flat, we head towards the volcanic region of the Lípez, where we will see the Ollagüe Volcano in the distance. Then, we begin our trip towards the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve, with stops to appreciate the lagoons known as “High Andean Jewels”: Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarcota and Honda, which are home to various species of local birds. Later, we enter the “Siloli Desert” with stops to capture photographs of the impressive landscapes that this desert offers. We will spend the night in a rustic hotel in the “middle of nowhere”.

Day 3
SILOLI DESERT – LAGUNA VERDE – UYUNI
On this day, we get up early to leave at 08:00 AM. The first activity, visit to the famous rock formation known as the “Stone Tree”. Then, we enter the Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna Reserve, visit Laguna Colorada and reach the “Sol de la Mañana” geysers, with fumaroles and craters of volcanic lava. After enjoying a bath in hot springs, we continue exploring the Reserve, with a panoramic view of the “Dalí Desert” and a visit to Laguna Verde and Laguna Blanca.

Option to end in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile.
If we return to the city of Uyuni, we will walk through the impressive “Valley of Rocks”, with remains of volcanic rocks. Finally, we will make a stop in the town of San Cristóbal, moved in its entirety to its current location for the construction of the largest mine in Bolivia. We will arrive in Uyuni around 6:00 p.m.
