Meet your guide in the village of Perivoli or Krania and board a fully equipped 4x4 vehicle. Set off towards Valia Calda, one of Greece's most beautiful and untouched national parks, arriving after approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Make your first stop at the boundaries of the core area, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the valley and observe the differences between the black pine and the Bosnian pine, as well as ancient bonsai-shaped trees.
Descend into the valley, passing through remarkable examples of natural branching formations, and begin a hike towards Arkoudorema, lasting approximately 2 hours. During the hike, there will be an informative session about Valia Calda, focusing on its fauna and flora.
Encounter rare red pines, the poisonous fire salamander (Bombina), newts, rare butterfly species, and the carnivorous plant Pinguicula. Learn about tree-ring dating (dendrochronology), the medicinal uses of herbs, and how to identify different species of mushrooms.
Enjoy a traditional sweet treat in the valley, accompanied by fresh water from Valia Calda, before returning to the village of Perivoli.
