Hike one of the lesser-known but most fascinating trails in the Cinque Terre.
After a quick but engaging visit to the village of Vernazza, we will begin to climb along the charming mule track, reaching the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Reggio (13th century) in about an hour, at an altitude of approximately 330 metres. During the ascent, we will admire beautiful views of the Cinque Terre coast with its distinctive terraces supported by miles of dry-stone walls, where olive trees and vines are grown to produce prestigious wines.
In front of the shaded square of the Sanctuary, a monumental cypress (the oldest in Liguria!) and a majestic holm oak stand out.
Before heading back down, we'll visit the charming olive grove of the La Bottega farm, where Ligurian PDO extra virgin olive oil is produced. It will also be an opportunity to meet two cute ponies, who are the farm's mascots.
During the experience, you can enjoy a light refreshment with a tasting of Cinque Terre extra virgin olive oil and a glass of local white wine, accompanied by typical Ligurian focaccia. Children will be offered local, zero-food-miles juices.
