Actively engage with Victoria Falls on a day tour that includes a guided tour as well as a number of outdoor sporting activities designed to enhance your experience of this natural landmark. After complementary pickup from your hotel, enjoy a more conventional guided tour of the falls from the ground-level. Following this, proceed to an abseiling launch platform hidden behind trees for a safety briefing and instructions.
Descend 110 metres into the Batoka Gorge while enjoying panoramic views of the famous Victoria Falls Bridge and the eastern cataract, which empties into a raging pool right underneath you. Once at the bottom, gaze at the awesome beauty of the falls from below, the surrounding gorge, and the white-water rapids. Your exploration of the basin has only just begun, though. You will be fitted with a life jacket and get ready to paddle in a raft straight underneath the falls. Prepare to be blown-away by the views of the falls from below which reveal their size and power.
After disembarking your raft, you will begin your hike around the basin of falls, stretching your legs and admiring this natural wonder from different angles. Enjoy a swim in a rock pool right underneath the spray to cool off. Finally, make a 15-20 minute hike back up the gorge on your way out. Once you've reached the top, light refreshments will be served and the driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel. In total, the tour lasts between four and five hours.
