    On this guided tour, you will explore Zentralfriedhof and learn more about famous people, historical events, impressive graves and the unique Viennese cemetery culture.

    You will discover historic avenues, graves of honour, elaborate monuments, and important areas of the cemetery. It's not just about names and dates, but also about the stories behind the graves and the development of this unique place.

    Choose your preferred tour time

    Standard walking tour – during the day
    Explore the Central Cemetery in daylight and discover its history, architecture and famous graves on a classic guided walking tour.

    Evening tour – every Friday at 5:30 PM (from October, at 4:30 PM)
    Experience the Central Cemetery in the evening, when the daytime activity is slowly winding down. The changing light and the quieter atmosphere give the historic site a very special character.

    The Evening Tour focuses on the same historical themes and landmarks, but in a different atmosphere and at a special time of day.

    Please pay attention to the option you select when booking:
    The evening tour takes place exclusively on Fridays at 5:30 PM. The regular tour takes place at the times of day specified for it.
