The main and shortest trail starts from Pouso, leading you through a well-marked path of about 20 to 25 minutes surrounded by lush Atlantic Forest vegetation.
Along this same trail, you’ll find the access point to Santo Antônio Beach, a moderate detour that leads to a nearly deserted and untouched beach—an excellent option for travellers seeking exclusivity and tranquility. You may visit Santo Antônio before or after Lopes Mendes.
For those looking for a more immersive and longer hiking experience, the Aroeira Trail is also available. This is the longest route to Lopes Mendes and provides a deeper contact with the forest and a more adventurous journey.
When you arrive at the world-famous Lopes Mendes Beach, you’ll be welcomed by an endless stretch of powder-white sand, turquoise waves, and a pristine, vendor-free environment—perfect for walking, swimming, surfing, or simply relaxing in one of Brazil’s most iconic natural settings.
After enjoying the beaches, return along the same trail to Pouso Beach, where your boat will be waiting at the scheduled time for the ride back to Vila do Abraão. On the way back, admire the scenic coastline and the forested mountains that frame the end of your journey.
