What you can expect

  • Begin your adventure with a hotel pickup in Colombo at around 09:00 AM and travel in air-conditioned comfort towards Wilpattu National Park. Enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 4 hours through Sri Lanka's countryside, passing rural villages, coconut plantations, and picturesque landscapes.

    Arrive in the Wilpattu area around 01:00 PM and stop for lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense) before proceeding to the national park.

    At approximately 02:30 PM, enter Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka's largest national park, famous for its unique natural lakes known as Willus and its rich biodiversity. Enjoy an exciting 3-hour safari with an experienced tracker searching for wildlife. Keep an eye out for leopards, elephants, sloth bears, spotted deer, sambar deer, barking deer, wild boar, crocodiles, peacocks, eagles, and many other bird species that inhabit the park.

    After the safari, return to the park entrance around 05:30 PM, where you can freshen up before beginning the journey back to Colombo.

    Depart Wilpattu at approximately 06:00 PM and relax during the 4-hour return drive. A short stop for coffee, refreshments, or snacks will be made along the way.

    Arrive back at your hotel in Colombo at approximately 10:00 PM – 10:30 PM, bringing an end to a memorable wildlife adventure in Sri Lanka's premier national park.
