  • You must be able to climb into the balloon basket and stand upright for the duration of the flight.
  • If you are pregnant, we will not fly you in your 3rd trimester.

  • Ballooning is a weather-dependant experience - flight details and confirmation are provided via the Global Ballooning app the evening before the scheduled flight

What you can expect

Experience Yarra Valley from a completely new perspective as you gently rise into the sky at sunrise on a premium hot air balloon experience with Global Ballooning Australia - Australia's most experienced and awarded ballooning operator for over 30 years. Float above rolling hills, lush farmland, winding rivers, and charming historic towns dating back to the 1830s, as well as some of the valley’s renowned vineyards and wineries.

Your morning begins when you meet your pilot at Balgownie Estate, 1.5 hours before sunrise. From here, you’ll be transported to the launch site, where the crew may invite you to assist with the balloon inflation - a behind the scenes moment that sets the tone for this once in a lifetime experience.

As you lift off, drift peacefully with the breeze and take in sweeping views of vineyards, forests, valleys and historic towns.

After landing, you will have the chance to assist the crew with the pack up - you’ll be amazed at how such a massive balloon compresses into a surprisingly small size. Your pilot will then upload your complimentary inflight GoPro photos straight to the Global Ballooning app, ready for you to download and share instantly. Every guest also receives a luxe souvenir balloon magnet, a meaningful keepsake that captures the magic of your flight.

You’ll then be transported to Balgownie Estate to enjoy a buffet breakfast - the ultimate way to complete your morning. Total duration is approximately 4-4.5 hours. Approximate meeting time will be confirmed on booking (exact time provided the night before via the Global Ballooning app).
