Day 1: Yogyakarta to Bromo
Get picked up from your hotel in Yogyakarta and drive to Bromo, a journey of approximately 5.5 hours. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax for a while. After lunch, meet your jeep driver and begin your adventure exploring Bromo and its surroundings.
Head to the highest viewpoint, Pananjakan Hill, for the best view of the expansive Bromo landscape. Continue your journey to Bromo and climb from the Bromo sand sea to the summit, a 30-minute hike. Enjoy the sunset from the summit of Mount Bromo, then return to your hotel, accompanied by your jeep driver. Upon arrival, rest, have dinner, and then go to bed.
Day 2: Madakaripura Waterfall
Enjoy the natural surroundings of the Bromo area in the morning, simply taking in the atmosphere and the fresh morning air, from a location near your hotel. Start with breakfast at your hotel. Afterwards, pack your bags and check out at 9 AM.
Your next destination is Madakaripura Waterfall, an hour's drive from your hotel in Bromo. Explore the waterfall with a local guide who will explain the history of Madakaripura and assist you with any photography needs. After exploring the waterfall, return to the car park, where your driver will have prepared hot tea for you to enjoy before continuing your journey.
After a bit of a break, continue towards Bondowoso City, heading straight to the Ijen View Hotel. The drive from Madakaripura to the Ijen View Hotel takes about 3 hours, with an estimated arrival time of around 2 or 3 p.m. Once you arrive, you can swim in the hotel's pool. After that, rest and sleep.
Day 3: Ijen Basecamp and Blue Flames
Starting at 12:00 AM, the journey to Ijen Basecamp takes approximately 1:45 hours, or a 2-hour drive from your hotel. Upon arrival at basecamp, prepare for your Ijen trek with your guide. Experience the natural wonder of the blue flames emerging from the Ijen Crater, produced by the sulphur in the crater. Besides enjoying the magic of the blue flames, you will also be guided to a scenic viewpoint with a backdrop of the green lake.
After your satisfying Ijen adventure, return to basecamp, have breakfast, rest for a while, and then continue your journey to Ketapang Harbour in Banyuwangi. The next journey will take a ferry to Gilimanuk Harbour in Bali. Your driver will then take you to your hotel in Bali. The tour concludes at your hotel in Bali.
