What you can expect

Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from your hotel in the morning. Head to Mount Merapi National Park, where you’ll be treated to stunning views of the world’s most active volcano.

Enjoy the fresh morning air, beautiful nature, and friendly locals going about their daily activities. Then, start your light trek, walking along a scenic path between green valleys.

The trek covers a distance of about 3 km with a travel time of about 1 hour and an elevation of only 400 metres, making it suitable for all ages.

Behind you, enjoy views of the city of Yogyakarta from a distance, and right in front of you, Mount Merapi stands majestically. The track is divided into 4 rest stops, and here is home to 7 “Javanese Eagles.”

This endemic bird is a symbol of Indonesia, with only 1,000 remaining on the entire island of Java today. If you’re lucky, you may also encounter this bird hunting its prey.

After completing the trek and taking photos at several spots, return to the base camp, and be transported back to your hotel.
