Head towards the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (approximately 1.5-hour drive).
9:00 AM – Arrive at Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
Upon arrival, board a Bailong Lift to begin your tour. This lift, the world’s tallest glass bridge lift, will take you up 330 metres (1,080 feet) in just 1.5 minutes, providing an unparalleled view of the surrounding peaks as you rise.
At the top, you’ll be on Tianzi Mountain , where you can start your exploration.
9:30 AM – Tianzi Mountain
Take in sweeping views of the “Avatar Hallelujah Mountains,” the inspiration for the floating mountains in the film Avatar.
Walk along the Tianzi Mountain Skywalk , a glass bridge with views that seem to stretch endlessly over the forested valleys below.
11:00 AM – Avatar Hallelujah Mountain
ViAvatar Hallelujah Mountain (also known as the Southern Sky Column). Walk along designated paths to admire these towering sandstone spires, known for their surreal, otherworldly appearance.
12:00 PM – Lunch Break
Enjoy a traditional Chinese lunch at a nearby restaurant within the park. Typical dishes include local favourites such as sour fish soup, stir-fried vegetables, and steamed buns.
2-4:00 PM – Glass Bridge (Optional)
Head to the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge (optional), a world-renowned structure that spans a deep valley and offers heart-stopping views. If you choose to visit, walk across this bridge and admire the surrounding peaks.
