“Pleasant and close to Giza”
Very nice and pleasant hotel. Very clean and comfortable.
“Hotel Mercure Gisa”
Is a five star hotel even by USA standards. Located close to pyramids. My room was facing main street, traffic a bit noisy but not sure any hotel in Giza is free from noise. I would stay at this hotel again.
“Very Impressive”
It can really make or break a holiday sometimes and i cant find anything bad to say about my two week stay at sofitel le sphinx cairo. The staff were always helpful and willing to please. My room was spotless and i was often asked by by managers if i was satisied with the sservice and i was. Will stay there in future can guarantee.
“Very clean hotel,th best holiday ever”
This hotel is really clean , the service is more than good, they are all friendly and always here for you if you need anything.
“Very suitable, for my need!”
I 'm from Cairo but I spent a day between two flights and decided to choose this hotel for nothing but having a good night sleep, use the pool, spa and food! I just loved the rooms, it topped off some Hiltons and Iberotels to me. Very clean, comfortable and a good, simple interior design as well; they show they care. I did not like the breakfast buffet though. It is totally recommended if you aren't bugged by the fact that it does not overview the Nile.
“good”
nice hotel
“An oasis from the madness!”
I loved this hotel. I needed a place to be QUIET and ALONE, to counter the insane running around (having a great time, mind you) I had been doing. I wanted to see the pyramids, at least, since I wasn't actually doing the standard "tourist" trip through Egypt, I was on more of an academic research journey. I found this hotel at a great rate, and just took a leap of faith and booked it on my iPhone, got in a cab (way over on the other side of Cairo) and arrived at Le Sphinx around 2pm on a Sunday. THIS IS NOT a hotel where you can really walk around the neighborhood and see sights. On checkin, I was personally led to a comfortable, if smallish room, with two beds, and an enclosed patio that looked out onto gorgeously manicured gardens. There are two restaurants and a coffee cafe. The breakfast was included in my room rate (amazing) and I enjoyed. I only did the dinner buffet once, it was very complete but I am a vegetarian so it was kind of a waste. I frequented the other restaurants, for a veggie pizza (delicious and cheap and huge), or for a simple bowl of hummus and a basket of bread. At all these places, I was able to sit and drink my bubbly water and eat my meal in complete peace, while writing for hours in my journal. By the pool in the morning I had my coffee and cigarette and enjoyed. This hotel is from a 70s era movie, but...I loved it and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet.
“Wouldn't Hesitate.”
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were accommodating, informative and very cooperative. The room was clean and a nice size. The outside patio was great to sit and look at the Pyramids. While driving through the surrounding areas we were quite concerned about what the hotel would be like. Boy were we pleasantly surprised. The hotel was like an oasis. We loved it. The only thing wrong we found about the hotel was that the main/buffet restaurant was only open for dinner when a tour was staying at the hotel. Otherwise, great experience. The hotel had a desk where you could book tours and/or hire a driver for the day, or your entire stay. We utilized those services and never regretted it. Don't hesitate to stay at the Mercure Cairo Le Sphinx.
“Meeting Expectations”
I'd recommend the Sofitel Le Sphinx if you are looking for a hotel to stay in near the pyramids (Giza). The hotel ticked all the boxes and met my expectations for a 5 star hotel. We had a garden room which was nice and quiet.
“Good place and good price”
Everything was ok, the personnel was friendly and professional. We got there 12 hours before our reserved. Since there was not a room available for us at that moment (3 am) they allowas to stay in the lobby and they provided us a free breakfast. We went there without a tour package and they gave us all the info and help that we requested for: they provied us the contacts and the names of the places where we should go. The food, the place, every thing was good. It might not be the newest hotel in Cairo, but the facilities were clean and nice.
