“Beautiful vacation location”
We loved our rooms and the hotel surroundings so much that we cancelled stays at another hotel and added on two nights at our Hyatt Windward Pointe. We were surprised at the beautiful decor and spaciousness of our rooms. The view from our room was of the grounds with a shuffleboard and the ocean. It was just lovely. When we were moved to our second room for our extended stay, we were able to view the sunrise. You could view bikers and walkers taking their exercise along the sidewalk between the road and the ocean. I walked twice, once doing the 3/4 mile to the beach, just a lovely way to get your exercise! The pool area is beautiful and you have a great view of the ocean at the pool. I was surprised to find the pool water pleasantly warm, in February! We were not sure about being next to the airport or a ways from the main action on Duvall Street but now, having viewed other options, we would pick this location again and recommend it to anyone. The few planes we saw/heard while lounging at the pool were fun to view. When we visited Duvall Street, we parked in the hotel parking lots and either walked or hailed a bike carriage. We were very very happy! We did get awakened by what sounded like little toddler feet running back and forth a couple of mornings but no other sounds from the room above us. We did not mind because we wanted to get up anyway and it was a gentle way to get us up early to enjoy our vacation.
“A great place to stay if you don't mind being farther away from the action...”
This is a very attractive and comfortable hotel. We were not bothered by the planes in the least. You will need a rental car or mopeds to get to the Duval St. area, though. I would recommend this place to anyone-we had a great time!
“Would definitely return!”
I just got back from a long "girls' weekend" with 5 girlfriends of mine. The Hyatt was absolutely perfect! We slept easily in the two bedroom, two bathroom villa (we took turns sleeping on the pull-out sofa) and we had plenty of room to relax and to get ready. Our villa had a nice view of the ocean (albeit across the street of A1A) and the grounds were impeccable. The front desk and concierge were remarkable and very friendly. The Hyatt is located next to the airport, but the occasional plane that flew overhead was not too bothersome. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who may not want to be right on top of everything; taxis and shuttles were able to get us down to the action on Duvall Street very easily.
“Would love to go back!”
We had a great time in Key West. The hotel was one of the nicest that we saw on the island. The rooms were spacious and clean. The only thing I didn't like was the noise from the airport but it wasn't that bad. We would definitely go back again.
“We are still on Island Time!!!!!!”
What a great property to stay at while you are in the Keys!It was quiet, super well maintained, and lots of parking. The hotel is on the "far side" of the island, but still was only minutes from the action downtown. Plenty of shuttle services if you don't have a car. The airport was not annoying at all.
“One of the mest hotels I had ever stayed”
Excellent spacious accommodation. Luxurious and yet extremely comfortably furnished. You don't miss your home since you feel at home. Can't wait to go back. Very impressive.
“Very, very nice”
I think it is the nicest hotel on the island. What a relaxing, clean, wonderful, beautiful environment!
“One of the best in Key West”
This was my third time staying at the Hyatt Windward and as usual everything was wonderful. They have a courteous staff and the grounds are immaculate. I will definitely stay there again. It's one of the best in Key West.
“The Best in Key West”
The Hyatt Windham Vacation Club is the best stay in Key West for the cost. The condo is spacious with incredible room/bath accommodations, plus an ocean view from every balcony. The location is ideal for touring the island and within minutes of downtown.
“Hyatt Windward Pointe, Key West”
The hotel interior and exterior was just so beautiful and accomodating. Planning to stay again with friends in future. Although not downtown, we found parking lots (not meters) for $5.00 a day (or we could take the Conch Shuttle). Best of both worlds -- the fast pace, party atmosphere in Key West we all love, and the peaceful and simply beautiful Windward Pointe stay for total relaxation. Also, there is a terrific walking path along the coast right out front on S. Roosevelt.
