“Great hotel and location; would go back for sure”
We found the hotel to be perfect for us. The room is small, but the bed comfortable with extra pillows. The location is great, lots of restaurants, grocery stores and the underground within easy walking. We recommend Thai and Indian restaurants. Internet was free and the hotel provided shampoo, conditioner and lotion. We stayed at another hotel in this same area and were dissatisfied. We would definitely stay at this hotel for any future stays in London.
“Great Hotel!!”
My boyfriend and I stayed at this Best Western for a night. Was a great location, since we were able to easily walk out and a have a few drinks at the near by bars. The people at the desk were also very friendly. I liked the modern touch in the room. Had a wonderful stay at this hotel!
“Very happy”
Our room was small by American standards but I was prepared for that. It was very modern and clean and had all conveniences. Large flat screen TV, heated towel rack, hair dryer and tea tray/pot with tea and cookies. The room was very clean and service each day. It was a lovely hotel in a good location and I would definitely stay again.
“Awesome place to stay”
Outstanding service at front desk (very helpful professionals) and the room was the best that i've stayed on my trip to Europe last week. The room was fully equiped and very comfortable. The hotel is very close to Gloucester Road Tube Station.
“Excellent London Stay”
Given the choice of rooms available in London, this was quite a find. I needed a hotel room quickly for the last two days of my vacation, and was able to locate this one via Expedia. The hotel is around the corner from the Tube and just 35 mins from Heathrow. The room had excellent decor and was large enough to fit two people comfortably, very clean and comfortable, with free internet access to boot. Comparable to other London hotels, and for the price, this was quite a find and I'll be sure to stay here again during my next visit to London!
“Excellent London hotel”
This was an excellent find in a very good location. The hotel is very well kept. The room was quiet, clean, and very comfortable. Reception desk personnel very kind and professional. I highly recommend this place!
“Great location, wonderful neighborhood!”
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The location is wonderful; you are less than a block away from the tube and there are many stores, restaurants and pubs. The neighborhood was beautiful; quiet, visually stunning, and great for walks. The hotel itself was wonderful. Our bathroom was brand new. The room was small but it had everything; the bed was hard but it worked well for us. I have stayed in other hotels in London but nothing can compare to this one...will definitely go back!
“A Really Good Hotel”
WIth one exception--our room had two twin beds but was really only big enough for one, and so felt a bit cramped--the hotel was uniformly good. And in the perfect location: a nice part of Kensington, a few minutes' walk away from a laundromat, a drugstore, two supermarkets, an Internet cafe, and a subway stop, and within easy walking distance of the Victoria and Albert museum, the Museum of Natural History, and Harrods, for starters. Like some other hotels we've stayed at in the UK, it's constructed of several townhouses fused together and so is kind of a warren of staircases and doorways, but if you memorize where the elevator is you'll be fine. The room, although small, was well outfitted with a good TV, excellent air conditioning, and a nice bathroom (often the make-or-break of a hotel room, in my experience). There's an in-room safe--many hotels have them these days, so maybe that's nothing special, but I'm still pleased to have one. No laundry facilities onsite, but a nearby laundromat (turn right as you leave the front door and walk a couple of blocks) fixes that problem if you're staying for a while (we were there for a week). The hotel restaurant prices seemed high, but there are numerous restaurants within a ten-minute radius on foot (including a good breakfast place, Garfunkels, right across the street). Not only would I stay at The Cromwell again, I'm probably returning to London next year, and will make it my first choice.
“Very good pick overall”
Pleasantly surprised by the hotel; excellent value for money. Friendly staff, good location.
“All you can expect (except the small rooms)”
the condition of the room was perfect, very clean. Modernly decorated but not much space to move around. The hotel is almost just across the glouchester rd tube station which was great.
