“Firs Hotel”
I started off my 54 day European vacation on June 7th and my first night stay was at the Firs Lodge the staff was amazing very helpful in helping me find transportation to Paris from London the room was neat & clean the hotel sits next to a old church where I had the privilege of seeing my first ever paragon Falcon very close up. a few door's down there is a wonderful Chinese restaurant all in all my experience was wonderful and yes I would recommend the Firs Lodge to a friend or Family member
“For the location and the pleasant atmosphere I would recommend it”
We stayed for 8 nights at this hotel, they are to be fair in the process of doing up the rooms but the staff and management are extremely helpful, nothing and I mean nothing was too much trouble, we asked to use their fridge and when we returned from our sightseeing one had been installed in the room, things like that make a stay very pleasant.
“convenient to the subway”
Great complimentary breakfast!! Good price. The people were friendly.
“Perfect Heathrow Location”
This hotel is perfectly suited for a stop over in London. It is more like a house than a traditional hotel but the room was clean and well kept, breakfast was good, and service was very friendly. It is a very long way from central London (about 45 mins by tube) but it's only 2 stops from Heathrow, which was great for catching our morning flight. Would recommend for those stopping in London for a connecting flight, not so much for those planning on spending a lot of time in central London.
“Pleasant stay”
Staff were very friendly and very helpful room was clean and tidy and would not have a problem staying there again
“A good family-run hotel, not fancy but convenient to tube lines, nice people...”
I liked this place and would go back. It's not a fancy place, but it is family run by Indians and the people are very nice and cooperative. Their standard breakfast got a bit boring after several days (one fried egg, bacon, white toast, sausage, baked beans, terrible coffee), but the place is comfortable, fairly quiet, and a 5-minute walk to Hounslow West tube stop that is only two stops from Heathrow Airport. Leave 3/4 hour to get to downtown London on the tube. At the end, when the taxi to Heathrow was not going to come for a half hour, the owner gave me a ride to the airport. I'd recommend this place. It is also not expensive!
“Good value for money”
Clean hotel, a bit basic, but worth the money we paid. Very accomodating early in the morning and friendly staff.
“Basic B and B, but good for the money”
It's a small B and B that resembles more like a motel. The room size was good. Kind of cold. The breakfast is typical English and nice. The staff was very helpful with things. The location is good because you can walk to the train station and work your way to London. However the area looks like India, with a lot of places to eat Indian food. However, you can still get other types as well. Nothing interesting to do in the area.
“No.No.No”
We can not fault the friendly staff. On first appearences the room looked good and clean but as with all British B&B's the bathroom plumbing was abysmal.I left with several swellings on my arms due to a bug of some type. We stayed 2 nights. Breakfast was poor and brown bread got lost in translation to become buttery white bread. I recommend a visit to Morrisons to buy something decent for breakfast. I am not a fan of "full english" and there was not much alternative. lovely people but not again.
“Not impressed”
Location was very close to the underground which was ideal for heathrow airport, 2 mins walk and 7 minutes on the underground to T4. The room was small, with no carpets on the floors, tiny on suite. The furniture was tired and old and the wardrobe was ready to fall apart. The whole building is tired and run down and inside smelt of damp and cats pee. It was cold in the room and when the radiator was turned it leaked onto the floor. (bonus having no carpet! ). Also large gap under the door into the hall way. The staff were friendly and helpfull, would not go back again or recommend to a friend. pictures are very misleading on the website.
