“Definitely would go back”
First time in a Tryp hotel. The rooms were larger then I expected and very clean. The breakfast buffet was substantial and a good value. The hotel staff was very courteous and spoke good english. This hotel was within a hundred yards of a Metro stop and very convenient to shopping and entertainment. I will definitely consider Tryp hotels in the future.
“Very nice hotel”
I always stay in this hotel while in Madrid. It is conveniently located and well groomed. It became even better after renovation. I definitely recommend this hotel.
“Would certainly go back”
While not located near the more picturesque areas and plazas of Madrid, Hotel Tryp Washington is very conveniently situated and offers great value for its comfortable and friendly amenities and services. We stayed a full five nights and had a quiet, clean room. We would stay there again and highly recommend this hotel for the traveller who seeks comfort and value rather than superfluous luxuries.
“Nice Hotel close to Center”
In all, my wife and I spent 4+1 nights at Tryp Washington with a break for a side trip. The hotel is nice and clean, it strategically located just steps from Metro and 20 min walk from Sol, the staff was extremely helpful. For-fee wireless was a slight minus. The room for a single night stay faced the side street with an Asian market, and strangely was noisier than the other one facing Gran Via, because of plain rather than insulated windows. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

“Very conevenient location and hotel”
We have arrived at the hotel and since then all was just fine, no problems with chceck in, room was clean, nice and overlooking Grand Via, which I was worry of being too noisy, however, clever double door got rid of this trouble.The room its self was big enough with comfy beds!!!no problem with sleeping at all!!!!Overall, I was satified, worth the money i have paid!Would go back for sure!Hope this will help you to make your desision!
“Good value in Madrid”
We stayed in the Tryp Washington for two lots of three nights in July 2009. It's a good value hotel in a great location, with some of the friendliest staff we came across in two months of travelling in Europe. There's no fridge in the room, which disappointed us at first (summer in Madrid is HOT!) but the free availability of ice and the coffee and drink vending machines made us feel much better.
