“Would definitely stay again”
There is not enough I can say about the staff of the Wingate. They were all extremely helpful and charming. We stayed 4 to a room with double beds and had no problems maneuvering around the room. Our room included a microwave and refrigerator which was very handy to warm leftovers for a late night snack. The continental breakfast is a definite added plus! The only drawback is it is on a warehouse type street - can be dark, spooky and dirty at night if walking alone. However, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who asked.
“Brand new!”
This hotel is brand spanking new, many rooms unslept in! The location is perfect- Macy's at the corner. The staff friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and fresh. Free breakfast was basic but nonetheless fine and free internet available in rooms or in the basement for those travelling without laptops. Great place!
“Business Hotel with Central Location”
Great Location! Excellent service. Nice, quiet hotel located in Mid-Manhattan. I travel to the city once a month, and expect to stay there from now on!

“Wyndham Manhattan Midtown”
The hotel was great overall; however, a shortcoming was the AC unit in the room. The unit ran very frequently and, when it came on, it was extremely loud. The upshot of this was that we had difficulty sleeping. This was our only complaint on an otherwise great place to stay.
“A Pleasant Surprise”
When in New York I have previously stayed in a larger hotel in Times Square. I took a chance on the Wingate by Wyndham, and I was pleased with every aspect of my stay. Each floor only has a handful of rooms, and the rooms are spacious by New York standards. What was most satisfying was the congenialty of the Wyndham personnel from the front desk to the restaurant. The continental breakfast was somewhat disappointing, and our room was a bit cold - I couldn't quite figure out the heating system. In all, I would recommend this hotel a s a convenient, clean, and comfortable place to stay in New York City.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful in every way possible. The service was impecable. The hotel was in close proximity to everything you would want to indulge in while in Manhattan. The rooms were really nice and very clean. Only draw back was looking out the hotel window into an old building. But that was a small thing compared to everything else the hotel offered. I will bring my family back again and recommend the hotel to others.
“Great Location, half a block from Macy's!”
This is our third time in New York and this hotel has been great.It is not a large hotel but has large comfortable rooms, very clean and tidy with complementary breakfast to start the day. All staff were friendly and helpful. We will use this hotel again as location was convenient for shopping, broadway shows and sightseeing.
“Looking forward to going back”
This was a very good hotel within easy walking distance of Times Square, The Empire State Building, Madison Square Gardens and the Rockefeller Centre. clean hotel with good facilities, VERY comfortable with very helpful staff. The complimentary breakfasts were excellent as well, although the breakfast room did get a bit crowded.
“NYC for the holidays”
I chose this hotel based on other reviews and was not disappointed. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was really clean and comfortable (I was on the 15th floor and it was still a little noisy, but it's NYC after all). The location is really great - close to the subway lines, Macy's, Madison Square Garden, Gray's Papaya, and the Empire State Building. Times Square and Rockefeller Center were an easy walk. I would definitely stay there again!
