"Wonderful place! We arrived several hours before check in, intending to drop off our bags and wander for awhile. When Pedro learned we had traveled more than 24 hours from the US, he decided to move things around to get us into our room faster. We didn’t ask, he just did this, and it is a good example of the service you can expect staying at the Westlands. The only complaint (and it really isn’t one) is that my American bones are used to a softer bed. We loved our stay and hope to come back...

"An okay room in an okay location. Not much to say. Free parking and small breakfast were a nice touch. Would have liked to have not such skimpy breakfast, though (e.g. more than 3 tomatoes). "

"Our room (Triple Room Ensuite Bathroom) was spacious, beds were comfortable. Couch, TV and dining table made us feel like we were home. Large windows are absolutely fascinating. Although the bathroom was old, it was clean spotless. Show gel, lotions, shampoo and towels were provided. Our room was equiped with mini fridge, kettle, snacks, bottled water and variety of drinks (tea, coffee and hot chocolate). it’s possible to park right in front of the property on the street free of charge....

"Had a very pleasant night's stay on our journey through Scotland last week. Even though we arrived late, the hosts made sure we had eaten and offered us snacks. Room was great, with a great view and breakfast the next day was amazing. Would definitely recommend and look forward to staying with them again!"

"The property is a bit old but clean and economical. Free breakfast is a plus. The things I did not like were: the shared toilet located across the room even though I booked an ensuite one - called and messaged the owner but no response; only 1 hanger available for our jackets, and the motion-activated light in the toilet automatically shuts off so I was having a shower in the dark lol"

"We just did an overnight stay here. Staff was extremely friendly. Room was great spacious and clean. Food in the restaurant was great. Private parking in the rear. The only small downside was it is in the center of town on a busy roundabout and was a little noisy into the late hours. "

"We found our small double to be as advertised SMALL, but cozy. Jackie and her staff were accommodating and breakfast was delicious. The location was ideal for those who like to walk around an old walled city and there were many dining options nearby"
