Staff couldnt have done more for you. The food in the indian restaurant was some of the best ive had, breakfast as you would expect. Room was clean an had everything you needed. Its obvious they have been updating and still redecorating the accommodation areas. Only stayed for 2 nights but slept well. Some areas are tired but its an old bulding and to be expected. Cant comment on local area as we were attending a wedding near by, but there were 3 supermarkets within a couple of mins walk and the centre was only 15 mins ish walk. Ive paid more an stayed in alot worse. Overall a good experience

The younger employee was working rather hard at the front desk for the restaurant and the hotel. The bed was ROUGH. There was a napkin plugging a hole in the wall above the shower. The service was good, but the place really needs a good update. The area around is great, so it worked for a place to sleep.

An unusual stay at The Grampian which also daylights as an Indian restaurant and if your lucky you will smell it in your room. Room was boiling hot, tucked away at the back of a corridor which was quiet apart from the air con unit buzzing you to sleep. Friendly staff and good location.

A central location, room is of a good size and big bathroom. An older building as you may expect, but very clean and tidy. Easy walking distance into centre of town.

The shower in our room did not work, we got a very sorry but no offer of reimbursement for inconvenience. Really not good enough. Also room was extremely tired, hole in wall with tissue stuck in! Had a long wait for breakfast which was pre ordered the night before.

Very friendly, polite staff at hotel. Clean room and comfy bed. Pillows a little too hard and toilet seat needed mending. However, room more than big enough for my needs and quiet if you need a good nights sleep. Very handy for train station which is only 5 minute walk away in one direction and all of the shops etc nearby are in the opposite direction.

It was very obvious the hotel had recently carried out an upgrade of the rooms. They presented very well, in particular the bathrooms. Only issue was no safety bars on the wall where shower is over bath. Also as for room not on main road as no double glazing and also offered ear plugs at check-in.

We arrived just after 12 noon, were told they had been fully booked last night and could not get into our room yet. On asking to use the toilet he had to unlock the bar area (in guest book it states bar open from 10am). Ours was twin room it was clean and the bathroom looked newly refurbished. There was a kettle with coffee tea and milk, there were no biscuits and I had to place the kettle on the floor where the socket was. The breakfast was not a good set up - had to get your own coffees /tea from a machine make your own toast, It was busy at breakfast however there were noticeably tables not cleared and what appeared to be one family member eating breakfast at a table that would seat four, there were no bowls for the cereal, had to ask twice for these, choices had been made the night before my poached eggs were very over cooked and hard, They say this is family run but one guy appeared to be doing everything- reception, serving food, clearing tables while other family members appeared to be floating about. Overall it was an okay stay.

Staff was friendly, stairs going up the room was winding, and needs cleaning. Strong smell from the kitchen. We got king exec room, furnitures need update, chair has stain. There is a 3-step down to the bathroom, a fall hazard in the middle of night. Not sure if the room has air conditioning, I asked the staff, there is communication challenges. The room temperature was 24 Celcius, which was uncomfortabl all night, and staff could not help. Bathroom was remodeled, sink facet was motion sensitive which making brushing teeth a challenge, also hot water was not hooked up yet for the sink. Hotel has an Indian cuisine restaurant, we ordered mixed grill (huge portion, we did not know that was enough for 2) and chicken byryani, both delicious. Samosa was ok. They recommended us to order Poppadoms and Pickle tray, i would not recommend ordering them unless you had them before and like them. Free breakfast was disappointing. I would recommend porridge and toast to be safe.

This is a bit of a gem. Family run, very welcoming. Room good size with comfortable bed and good shower. The food in the restaurant was good quality. Situated very close to town centre with parking.
