“There, there”
Location, location, and the welcoming hospitality of Kimpton Hotels!
“Perfectly happy with my stay...”
Smallish room on the 11th floor offered good light and was perfectly suitable for my one-night stay on business in the city. I had business in the financial district and chose this hotel over closer ones because of free internet (must sign up for the Kimpton loyalty program to get it) and the nicer boutique format.

Overall this was a great little boutique hotel, would definitely stay there again!
“Retro charm”
This place is has Old World charm that makes me think of the nicest hotel in a foreign city. That is meant as high praise; I prefer places with the character of culture over the latest contemporary (and cold) expressions of trendy architects.
“Very pleased and would return...”
We were pleasantly greeted upon arrival and our check-in was smooth. Our room, a standard Queen, was on the small side, but ample. The bed and bedding were fantastic. The decor was very pleasant. We only had two areas with our room that we noticed could have been better. The TV, safe, minibar, etc was housed in a large armoire. A small section on the end was hanging space for clothes. At the bottom of the hanging space was the iron, another pillow and umbrella. So, items we did not need to hang remained in our suitcases. Our other disappointment was lack of space for toiletries in the bathroom. An extra shelf or two on any of the walls would have been great. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we did not have any issues with our stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends.
“Great value”
We waited until that day to book a last minute adventure to the city. Not having stayed here before, I had no idea what to expect. I was impressed with the service and attention to detail. Although the hotel is somewhat small, the service is HUGE. In fact I will probably stay hre next time we travel in place of our usual haunt.

“Hotel Serrano”
This is a great little hotel centrally located near the theaters and Union Square. The rooms are small but tastefully decorated in a non-hotel/motel theme. We'll definitely stay there again.
“A great boutique hotel”
First the bad...the room could have been bigger for 4 people. That's it. Now for the good...beautiful room, exceptionally clean, comfortable beds, quality shampoo and soap, big fluffy towels, good shower, quiet at night, efficient ventilation, attentive staff, and great location. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat...and hope to stay at other Kimpton properties soon.
“incredible”
incredible experience. I love kimpton hotels, the monaco on the same block is also as nice. they give you a paper in the morning and everyone there is happy to be working there. the tenderloin/union square proximity to me is a plus, to some it may be a negative as there are a lot of panhandlers.
