Spacious rooms in great location steps to charming Insadong, the palace, and bukchon hanok village. Very large comfortable rooms, bathroom, and laundry facilities. Front desk staff was very friendly, and helpful.

We picked the Somerset because we had 4 days before joining a cruise. Within a short distance of the Hotel there is history - Palaces, Religious buildings, Restaurants (both local and international cuisine) and a great shopping choice. The Hotel has well appointed rooms. But the stars were the staff who were attentive and helpfull particularly the staff on reception who made our visit special with their help with giving us directions, places to eat Korean food. So thanks for making our visit special.

Charged 11,000 won for not returning a key card , never in 100s of hotel stays has this ever happened to me, they also persuade you to join the somerset points club and then after you join refuse to credit you any points if you booked on Expedia ,

Excellent hotel and strategic location
First and foremost Somerset Palace Seoul is travelers who need a full sized fridge for take out, leftovers, or who want to cook instead of eating out everyday. They clean your room six days a week and the front desk staff are attentive to guests. The rooms are clean and most of all why you should stay there is the accessibility to 3 train stations and excellent coffee shops and restaurants. I will stay there again on the next trip to Seoul.

The Somerset palace is great location. Tons of sights and museums are all a 5-10 minute walk. The rooftop pool is delightful with vistas of the city and mountains. The staff is very helpful and the studios have kitchens and in room washer dryers

Property feels in need of an update, especially the bathroom. But it is a good deal for the size and conveniences of the service apartment which also includes a decent breakfast, The location is within easy walking distance to the subway which made it convenient to get around Seoul.

This seems to be an older property, maybe a 1990's build? The interiors are showing the age. However, very comfortBle and clean. I loved my room overlooking the temple and Namsan tower. The best assest here are the staff. They are patient and kind to a weary traveller and super helpful. The sweetest hotel staff I have ever encountered. I

Somerset Palace is a comfortable hotel in an excellent location. The staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful. The room had a small kitchen which was great for light meals in the room. There is also a washer/dryer for cleaning laundry. The hotel is easy walking distance to Gyeonbokgung and Changdeokgung Palaces, as well as Bukchon Hanok Village. The Jogyesa Temple is right behind the hotel and worth a quick visit. I recommend this hotel for anyone staying for a first time visit in Seoul.

Super happy with the stay- better than any 5 star hotels in Seoul. Spacious room, tucked in from the hustle and bustle of the town, beautiful view to the temple, no nonsense, no frills. Decent and elegant in style. I would definitely go back. If the plastic bottled water and plastic packaged tiny amenities can be ditched with communal water dispensers and large multi-use containers, Somerset Palace would make it truly world-class in every sense!
