“Brand New Hotel”

Very clean and impressed with the deco. Room was tight but 100% functional with extravagant soft furnishings, all which added to the look. Breakfast is contintental style and we thought it was perfect. Our coffee was the best we had for the day. WIhin 5 mins walk from San Marco but was nice to be away from the immediate centre with less people milling around. Also quieter in the evenings.

“Ideal location”

Although the hotel is close to both the Accademia and Rialto bridges, and on a big square (Campo San Angelo), it's not on the main route from Rialto to San Marco - so a great combination of convenient yet quiet. Also only a couple of minutes from San Angelo vaporetto stop (also served by the Alilaguna airport boats). Set in an old Palazzo, our room was very comfortable, furnished in traditional old Venetian style, with a lovely modern bathroom. Only slight snag was a fault with the aircon, but we kept the temperature comfortable with 'manual control' i.e. opening the window! Breakfast was a cut above average, with decent coffee (not always the case in 4* Venice), and served in a beautiful room, which presumably was the 'Piano Nobile' of the Palazzo. A lovely terrace and courtyard off Reception (a bit too cold to use in November unfortunately), and free internet (cabled) in the room finished the package. Would happily stay here again.

A charming hotel, well located right next to the Duomo. Originally a palace, now a historic building converted to a hotel. Housekeepers live on the premises. Security was amazing!! Owners were present every day, always tending to the hotel to make sure everything was in top condition. When the weather turned warm unexpectedly, the air-conditioners were immediately set to "cool" rather than heat. And our room was wonderfully cool! Lovely people, lovely room, lovely breakfast. If you are looking for local charm and not a "chain" hotel, this one is perfect!

“This is a great little place to stay in Venice”

This is a great little place to stay in Venice. The hotel is in a great location and the staff very friendly and helpful. It takes roughly 10 minutes to walk through some lovely little streets to St Mark's Square and only 2 or 3 minutes from Sant Angelo water bus stop. The breafast has a nice selection and if not too early even some Tiramisu.

“A wonderful two days in Venice”

Frrom the first welcome at the desk the staff at The Paruta were wonderful. Really helpful.The rooms are a little small even if you upgrade but that should not put you off as the hotel is in an excellent location, near the Alilaguna airport waterbus stop which makes connections really simple, walking distance of all the tourist attractions but also quietly situated behind two Plazas, where there are cafes and restuarants. There is a peaceful courtyard which must be a real haven when it is hot but we enjoyed sitting there in april. The afternoon tea provided was a real bonus after a busy day walking and sightseeing. Thankyou for a wonderful experience we loved the Palazzo Paruta.

Arriving at the door by its own private bridge - the hotel was very nice (ex-palace?) - excellent breakfast room with wide range of dishes on offer in the morning. There was a comfortale courtyard with tables and chairs. Our room on the 3rd floor was relatively small but comfortable. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel sign is discrete - so in the dark we almost missed it.

“Beautiful hotel”

What sets this apart from other excellent hotels is the staff. Perfect attitude - courteous, obliging, friendly. Always looked pleased to see us. Hotel is beautiful. Superbly decorated rooms (maybe a touch small but we were prepared for that). The public areas - large salon, beautiful terrace and courtyard - are superb and more than compensate for small bedrooms. Breakfast is excellent, waiter was so charming and offered us more and more options. Location is also very good, close enough to St Marks and Academia but away from the crowds. A couple of lovely squares nearby which makes the environment feel more spacious than other parts of central Venice. I hope to return to this hotel one day.
