"When we arrived in the afternoon, we were told that the power was out and they had no time estimate for PG&E to repair the problem. It was specific to the hotel. They offered alternative accommodations at nearby affiliated hotels (Marquis & St Francis) at great prices, but we decided to stay at least until we had attended an event wiith friends. "We signed-up for an ocean view room. got one facing the ocean but through rusty pipes and dirty roof of another building in front of us. Room was clean, staff were nice. Just disappointed about our view. We were really looking forward to this stay, but our view was not so exciting."

"There was poop on the sidewalk outside the property. There were only 2 people at the front desk checking in guests. The man that checked us in was so helpful and friendly I didn’t get his name but he was helpful in getting us a room more of our liking as we had initially requested a room above the 35th floor and the one that was reserved for us was the 26th floor which would have been miserable. He checked the system and was able to put us on the 37th floor!!! We stay here often"
