"I stayed for one night in June 2024. The food was phenomenal and the staff were extremely attentive and considerate. Thank you especially to Megumi who took such great care of me. Having a private onsen with a great view was quite an experience, it was absolutely amazing. They have a free shuttle service for pick up and drop off at Gora Station (and I think other areas close by) so just let them know you need it. This was certainly one of the highlights of my trip. "We had two nights in this classic old ryokan. It is one of the oldest in Gora with a long history, and the place exudes history and classic Japanese history. The staff was superb, and the food was fantastic. The onsens were relaxing. The ryokan has a large private forest garden and depending on the route taken can be seen in 13 mins or an hour. It was amazing. We woukd definately stay again, and what appealed to us was the classic old school nature of the place, with plenty of aged patina...
