"Very run down. Shower is dirty looking including the shower curtain. The grout has mold. You can hear everything outside specially all the honking. Just soap for toiletries, no shampoo. No where to hang the towel in the bathroom, it was rolled up on the bed. Very shady atmosphere. "

"This quiet hostel is located in a prime Miraflores location that is close to great restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, laundries and Peruvian craft shops. This was my second time staying in this quiet, well managed and comfortable hostel. I had a room with a spacious private bathroom that had a walk in shower, good water pressure and ample hot water. In addition, the room had a large comfortable bed, wall mounted smart TV and ceiling fan. The shared kitchen was well maintained and kept clean....

These narrow boats, made from the same reeds used by the Uros in the Lake Titicaca region, are still in use today. They're known as 'Caballitos de Tortora', meaning "little horses" because of the way they are 'ridden' by the fishermen who use them. If you wake up early enough (and I mean early; these fishermen are already casting their bait before the sun rises) you can witness an age old tradition in practice.
