"My wife & i spent one night during the carnival period. The place was clean, located near all the carnival activities and did not cost as much as the other nearby legacy hotels. However, it could do with a little upgrading & modernizing as it had a 1980's feel. The staff is helpful but a bit more training in terms of greeting customers, warm smiles and making you feel welcomed would help. We felt like it was an emotion-less business arrangement. "Two things, there was a box for an iron. However, there was no iron. would have loved to have an iron in the room. The other was wifi. I did not have access to wifi. Overall, the stay was pleasant."

"We stayed here for Carnival week and arrived Thursday and did not receive any house keeping until we checked out a week later. Room was cheap for Carnival but understandably so. Front desk staff and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Felt safe in location but it isn't a walkable area and need to get transportation to anywhere in Port of Spain. No phone in room. No safe, which is essential. Bathroom very dated with bathtub painted with latex white paint so was peeling off during showers....

"The borders were close due to Covid 19 the air line refunded my nonrefundable flight HOWEVER this hotel did not want to offer me a credit for a later stay WHEN PEOPLE WERE FREE TO ENTER THE COUNTRY. Although I was not asking for my money back. I think this was very dishonest. I will never recommend this place to anyone. however I will be in Trinidad as soon as I can.. DO not stay here I only booked because during the Carnival you don't really stay inside just change and go. "
