"At checkin, system was down and we did not get the room we paid for. This was corrected by Frontdesk later that evening. Hotel has huge windows with amazing views but in June (summer) the hotel becomes a furnace. The room and public areas were just too hot for our comfort. There are no airconditioned rooms or areas in the hotel and we could not excape the heat other than go back in our car and drive around. The beds were comfortable howevr shower area needs maintenance and so does some of the woodwork around thewindows.staff were attentive and helpful. Very close by car to the town of Villa Angostura "

"Alta Traful wastes the opportunity it has to provide guests with an experience as unique as the lake it is situated upon. The room was basic and bathroom (tiny sized) had taps either leaking or falling of. "The rates on website was higher than asked to be paid on the desk. The staff cannot speak english so if you cannot speak spanish dont even try Wifi dose not reach the rooms and most communal zones. Breakfast is very pour and if you wont be there very early you wont find clean table, plates, or some food would run out of stock. Overall, the place is not bad to saty, the rooms and the pools are good but for this prices you can get better options around."

"The setting is glorious, nestled in the woods on a lake. The staff was friendly and eager to please. Understaffed in the restaurant. Had to wait quite a while each morning for breakfast items to be replenished. The poor employee was doing as much as she could on her own. No WiFi in the basement where the gym is, so couldn’t use my Peloton app to work out with the hotel’s gym equipment. It’s a classy hotel; I was surprised they didn’t have a booster so we could get WiFi down there. Kayaking available right from the hotel! What a plus! Unfortunately no single kayaks which is what I like, just two doubles. There was a lot of condensation on the window in the room which created small pools of water on the window sill and we had to wipe the windows down to be able to see the gorgeous view. In spite of the problems, and clearly improvements are needed, we enjoyed every minute of our stay!"
