"Before you book there, you have to be aware that you have to pass through the yard of charming people to get to the room, but they have a big dog (German Shepherd) that greets you with much enthusiasm by jumping on you and playfully trying to bite your arms…Not the best experience, even if you love dogs… They do their best to hold him when they hear you, but when they don’t, it can be scary… The room itself is large and airy, the king size bed is very comfortable, it is super clean, but the...

"This hotel is stunning!!! The spa has the most tranquil set up. The views, rooms, hot springs and parking accessibility were amazing. My rental car got a flat tire. The staff changed my tire, realized the other tire and saved the day before we drove to Manuel Antonio!"
Arenal Paraíso Resort & Thermo Mineral Hot Springs
8/10 Good
"Overall, we loved this resort. First night in bad room located right next to construction/maintenance area and was very noisy. Do not stay in room 37! Hotel Mgr was very accommodating and upgraded us to a nicer and quieter room. Grounds are beautiful, and great view of Arenal volcano. Thermal springs (at least the top 2 pools) were lovely. Nice outdoor pool patio casual restaurant. Big breakfast buffet, all food was very good. I’d definitely recommend a stay here! And don’t miss Mistico Park which is near by!"
"Breakfast Buffet had a variety of foods to eat. Had an egg/omelette station. I did notice Costa Rica food in general is not heavily seasoned but you can ask for salt shakers/ketchup/etc if you desire.
The swimming pool provided a nice contrast to the hot springs. All hot springs were the same temperature it felt. The swim bar area was a bit noisy but that sound could be drowned out with the bubbles from the hot springs. Sauna wasn't really that hot. They have a second pool but never visited I was ok with screaming kids in the main pool.
Rooms were basic rooms, has a nice private terrace. No microwaves, ample storage. No bugs/critters. Air conditioning worked well. Since the buildings are single storey you do hear the rainfall which can be crazy heavy at times.
Location was only a 10 minute drive to downtown La Fortuna. Easy location for Uber rides. Unfortunately not walkable to many places as you are a bit further out.
No view of the volcano from the property. You could barely see it from the front parking lot, as it was cloudy all days except for 2 hours when we were there.
Front desk can break down larger CRC bills as well as USD bills.
Was a great home base for all of our excursions, as after all that walking you could go and soak in the hot springs."
"This hotel was well situated and the rooms are very nice will full balconies. Our room was on the second floor right next to the nature trail area so we were able to view birds and a sloth in the tree right above us. The pool areais very nice and we were able to order food and drinks at the poolside bar. The Hotel restaurant was excellent for both dinner and breakfast. A variety of tours were available with pick up at the hotel and the spa for massages and mud facials was spectacular. Staff was professional and accommodating."
"The property is beautiful with all the surrounding lush gardens and pools. Because the property is so large, the slight down side was having to have our whole family of 14 shuttled to and from the pool and restaurant every time. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay very much."
"Pros: the grounds are really lovely and the pool area is really nice. The male staff were all very cheerful and pleasant whereas the female staff were almost all somewhat scowling and unfriendly. I can’t figure out what that’s about but we all noticed the same.
Cons: the food offered at the restaurant is mediocre, limited, and overpriced for what it is, even considering how all food in La Fortuna and in Costa Rica in general is surprisingly expensive. The dinning area while not unattractive, is not particularly attractive. The rooms, while large, leave much to be desired as well with no hooks etc to hang wet towels, a minuscule closet and no other options to store or organize clothes and other things. A bit of of common sense and better management could improve all of the above."
"This is hands down the best hotel we have ever stayed at! Its absolutely beautiful. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Very clean. The pool was a lot of fun for our 6 year old daughter. The breakfast was incredible! We would stay here again in a heart beat. Shout out to the whole staff team at this hotel. You really know how to make sure guests are well taken care of and happy."

What’s a holiday rental in Acapulco like?
Holiday rentals are private properties where you can stay for a few weeks, or just a few days, in Acapulco. Holiday rentals feature extras such as WiFi and washers and dryers so you'll have all the comforts of home. If you're concerned about a sanitised environment, a holiday rental can provide a sense of seclusion away from shared hotel lifts and busy lobbies while still allowing you the experience of travel. You'll also have more space in a holiday rental than in a hotel, which makes a holiday rental a popular choice for family trips or small group gatherings.
