The bar staff were incredible and really made the evenings memorable the food an entertainment was brilliant. "My husband and I stayed at Casa Blu in August for 10 nights and what an amazing place. We stayed in one of the newer private pool suites and it was perfect. The room was very spacious with generous outside space and a good sized private pool. It was impeccably clean and had all we needed. The private pool was big enough to cool down in and looked out to the sea. We got the sun from morning until about 4pm/5pm but there was shade to sit under too. The food (breakfast and lunch) was delicious and we hope they start to serve dinner in the future too. What can we say about the staff; they truly are amazing and made our stay even better. We will definitely be back and would whole heartedly recommended Casa Blu."

"The rooms and property exceeded my expectations. Well maintained and beautifully appointed. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. The property is on the hillside giving gorgeous views. I was nervous about dragging my suitcase up the hill but I was met in the parking area and everything was taken care of for me proactively. They have a lovely bar/restaurant area with a good selection of food and wine. You can't go wrong booking this wonderful property."

"We loved our stay (August 2025) at the Royal And Imperial Belvedere hotel. Our room was great, newly decorated and spotlessly clean. The main dining area is really big and being able to sit outside meant you didn't feel like you were going to the same restaurant for every meal! Lots of fresh food options, the grill and the salad bars were excellent. The causal dining options were also great with a range of family friendly food available. Having a separate bar area from the entertainment means you can choose a more peaceful spot in the evening, or get involved in the fun. The pools are fab - a 50 metre pool on holiday! Even when it was busy it didn't feel busy. Plenty of sunbeds available around the pools or on the peaceful sun terrace. Theres not a lot to walk to nearby and the local beaches are taken up by sunbeds from the bars, but we'd recommend a walk into Koutouloufari for a look round the shops or a drink in the evening."

"Bella Vista is a small, family run hotel. It’s a bit of a walk to the nearest beach (40 mins) but what it offers more than compensates for this. Eli, Spiros and Melanie are the most welcoming team we have ever had the pleasure to meet. I am sorry not to know the name of the chef, the other breakfast lady and the lovely housekeeper. The location will provide a very authentic experience of Crete. Literally 5-6 walk to a square full of restaurants and Tavernas which are all excellent. And where we also booked our trip to Spinalonga with the lovely Bob. If you choose to Bella Vista as your destination, you will return from your holiday feeling restored and comforted ( if maybe 10 pounds heavier). We will return xxx"

"Villa Eugenia delivered everything we hoped for and more. It’s a beautifully maintained, spacious home with views of the hills and sea. Inside, the villa was clean, stylish and very well-equipped. Every corner felt thoughtfully arranged, creating a luxurious yet comfortable vibe. The addition of poolside cabanas was a thoughtful touch—offering much-needed shade during the peak heat. Whether escaping the midday sun or lounging post-swim, they added to the sense of comfort and luxury. We were lucky to find two fantastic local restaurants just a short drive from the villa. Both offered authentic Cretan cuisine and warm, welcoming service—the kind of places you revisit more than once. They added a whole new layer to the experience, and were ideal for relaxed evenings out without venturing far. Our host was responsive and discreet, with genuinely helpful suggestions that made exploring Crete even more memorable. A quick tip: having a car is essential if you want to visit Crete’s main districts, beaches, and historic sites. The villa is tucked away, but mobility gives you access to everything the island has to offer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-appointed base to discover Crete."
