"Is a beautiful 5-room hotel on the 1st floor of a building. The staff is magnificent. At first you might be shocked about the surrounding area, but you will soon realize it is very well located less than a hundred meters to the right you have the Duomo and if you walk to the left, you soon arrive at the Market where you can have a great lunch."

We enjoyed the property (clean and pretty), the delicious breakfast on the terrace (with a breathtaking view onto the city) and the top level service and hospitality. "The staff at this hotel were excellent! They proactively engaged with me before the trip to ensure everything was in order and to see if I needed any help. They answered all my questions prior to arrival and they arranged airport transportation after our stay. They were also attentive offering water to us whenever we returned (it was very hot in Palermo during our stay). The restaurant they recommended was excellent mom and pop place (not a tourist trap) about a 10 minute walk. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family of four. The pictures of the hotel are accurate. The decor was unique, one of a kind. It’s a unique hotel with history, character, and charm. If in Palermo again, this is where we will stay. "

"Love the Hotel location, easy access to anywhere if walking. Recommend not driving but the hotel does have a company who picks up your car and parks it, they bring it to you when you need it, very good. Check out driving restrictions in the area, call hotel. Only thing is the bathroom showers need better cleaning and updating. The rooftop restaurant is fabulous and bar! Excellent service and quality. I would recommend they add coffee Keurig machines in the room. Americans need early coffee and could easily buy coffee pods and water for the machine. The staff is fabulous!"

"Hotel Ballaro is gorgeous; walking up the grand staircase into the hotel area almost feels like you could be a background character in Romeo and Juliet. Unfortunately, our room wasn't ready on our arrival, despite having sent our flight information ahead of time, and we were missed receiving the instructions on how to actually enter the building once we found it, but once that was sorted out, we had a lovely stay."
