"Little gem right in the centre of the village. Didn’t eat there but the food looked good Clean rooms great staff plenty of parking on the square opposite the hotel. Perfect as stop over near Calais or for a longer stay"
"Check in was smooth, and the receptionist had good English. The room had a nice outlook over the golf course. The bathroom was very nice, with a bath and shower over, and it was good to have a separate toilet. The desk/table in the room was all marked, and needs replacing. There were only 4 tea bags, 2 Earl Grey, and 2 Green Tea, which was disappointing for us English who like a breakfast tea. There was an empty glass water bottle in the room, and if you wanted water you had to go down to reception. We felt they could at least have given you a full bottle of water in the room.
The bar area looked nice, but had a very limited bar menu. Outside on the patio, it was hard to get out of the burning sun as there were no umbrellas, so we went back inside.
Breakfast had a good selection, but unfortunately the cooked items were only luke warm, despite going for breakfast at 6:45am, which was a shame. "
"Hotel cards reset everyday. Annoyance to get to your room and then Have to go get a new key card. Secondly, room booked said they made a mistake in booking the room. How? When we booked the family room. Third, poor house keeping and air conditioners were terrible."
"This hotel is ideally situated for the Calais if you have an early crossing to UK or a late crossing into France. The room in the chateau was ‘compact’ with a comfortable bed. We enjoyed the grounds and the swimming pool. The dinner in the restaurant was fine but not inspiring."
"A great price for a decent nights sleep. Friendly staff, firm beds, restaurant service home cooked style food. Only downside is we had two rooms and one smelt of smoke but that’s a European thing that we are not used to. Would stay again for a cheap nights sleep when traveling next day."
