"I wish the staff had made it clear to me on check in that if I wanted my room made up, I would have to ask a day in advance. Housekeeping left fresh towels when I asked but didn't even take away towels on floor, as is standard.
Pool is lovely. I wish someone on staff would have spoken with parent of a small child, as the child was in the pool all by herself other than adult hotel guests like me. She may have been between 5 to 7 years old. She told me that her dad said if she was drowning, that I or one of the other guests would save her, and she couldn't swim well, so she wasn't supposed to be in the deep end (as she was swimming in the deep end). Hotel staff were around and did nothing that I saw to speak with the parent and I couldn't find him either. There should be a protocol in place for unaccompanied children in the pool area. This was so unsafe."
"Room wasn’t on the same level as a Hilton but definitely comfortable. I enjoyed the balcony a lot. The rooms were a really decent size and my kids definitely enjoyed them. The bathroom is a bit small but big enough for us. But the hot water is a little finicky. The pool was heated which was super nice and the hot tub was awesome. The parking lot is a little dirty but not too bad overall. Unfortunately no microwaves in the rooms but there is one in the lobby. Coffee bar was basic but still useful and they have a “store” downstairs that you can use your deposit to pay (charge to room) so we really enjoyed that for our kids. Staff was 50/50, not totally unhelpful but things like when I asked about the laundry room I got all the way up there with my laundry to find out you have to get coins from the front desk. Just would’ve been nice to know that when I was inquiring lol but otherwise good."
"We had such a great stay at the Sheraton Universal! The location is unbeatable—just minutes from Universal Studios, which made everything so convenient, especially with kids. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and very welcoming. The beds were super comfortable, and we all slept really well after long park days.
The staff really stood out—everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to anything we needed. Check-in was smooth, and the overall vibe of the hotel felt relaxed but still upscale.
A couple small things worth mentioning: I do wish there were more drawers or storage space for clothes, especially for families staying multiple nights. Also, we had a noisy neighbor one night, but security handled it quickly and it was quiet right after, which we really appreciated.
Overall, we had an amazing experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Universal Studios."
